Recycle precious resources
In Zürich biodegradable waste is weekly being collected through a special subscription from ERZ Entsorgung + Recycling Zürich and transformed into fertilizer and biogas. The phosphorous rich fertilizer reduces our dependency on precious natural stocks of phosphorous and the biogas is distributed to households and industries via the normal gas pipes in town, as a renewable, CO2 compensated fuel for cooking, heating or production of electrical power. Current situation in our neighbourhood
Currently most of the organic waste produced by the 500 households in the neighbourhood TalwiesenBinz is thrown away in the normal ZüriSack, which ends up being burned to ash in the incineration plant, without the benefits the biogas plant can offer. This also leads to more costs for „Züri Säcke“ that we have to pay as individual households.
In corporation with ERZ and „Grün Stadt Zürich“ the association LebenBinz could demonstrate there would be an opportunity to collect bio waste in our neighbourhood without additional costs for the individual household. However only Bilfinger real estate offers its tenants the opportunity to utilize the two green bio waste containers available at the entrance of Bühlstrasse 47. The access to these containers is exclusively regulated through locks fitting the front door keys of Bühlstrasse 43, 45 and 47.

WERTVOLLE ROHSTOFFE SAMMELN
Die Stadt Zürich sammelt über ihr Bioabfall-Abo jede Woche neben pflanzlichem Gartenabfall auch Küchen- abfall und Speisereste. Der Bioabfall wird im Vergär- werk zu Biogas und Kompostprodukten verarbeitet. Das Biogas wird ins Gasnetz eingespeist und steht als erneuerbare Energie, als Treibstoff, zum Heizen, zum Kochen oder für die Stromproduktion zur Verfügung. Somit schliesst sich ein Kreislauf, der die Lebensquali- tät in der Stadt fördert.
IST-SITUATION IN DER BINZ
Der grösste Teil des organischen Abfalls, welche in den fast 500 Haushaltungen in der Siedlung Talwiesen-Binz anfällt, muss heute im Haushaltkehricht entsorgt wer- den. Das ist ein grosser Verlust an wertvollen Stoffen und kostet unnötige Züri-Sack-Gebühren.
Der Verein LebenBinz hat in Zusammenarbeit mit Grün Stadt Zürich die Verwaltungen kontaktiert um aufzuzei- gen, dass die Bereitstellung von Grüncontainern ohne nennenswerte Mehrkosten realisierbar ist. Als einzige Verwaltung ermöglicht seither Bilfinger ihren Mietern der Bühlstrasse 43, 45 und 47 den Bio- abfall separat zu entsorgen. Dazu stehen zwei grüne Container vor dem Eingang Bühlstrasse 47 zur Verfü- gung, welche sich aber nur mit den Hausschlüsseln der Bilfinger-Mieter öffnen lassen.

Machen Sie mehr aus Ihrem Bioabfall aus Garten und Küche! Wenn Sie den Bioabfall gesondert entsorgen möchten, sollten Sie sich direkt an Ihre jeweilige Ver- waltung wenden. Je mehr Mieter sich melden, desto mehr stehen die Verwaltungen unter Zugzwang.
